Rental terms

Renting a vehicle at X-Car Car Rental is simple and transparent. Below you will find the most important things to know – from the required documents through the deposit to the daily mileage limits – so that everything is clear before you even book. Rental requirements

To rent a vehicle you will need:

• A valid driving licence for the category of the vehicle you wish to rent.
• A valid identity card or passport.
• To be at least 18 years of age.
• For a first rental, either two people present with their documents, or a passenger car left as a deposit.

We always conclude a rental contract, in which we record the rental period, the fee, the deposit and the condition of the vehicle.

What does the rental fee include?

There are no hidden costs with us – the most important extras are already in the price:

• An annual Hungarian motorway vignette (e-vignette) for the entire rental period.
• Good-quality tyres suited to the season (winter tyres in the winter period).
• Snow chains – on request, for winter roads.
• A child seat – on request, for the safe travel of the little ones.
• Full insurance: every vehicle has valid mandatory motor third-party liability insurance and CASCO insurance.

Mileage limit and pricing

We tailor the rental packages to the expected mileage. For passenger cars you can choose a daily limit of 100, 200 or 300 km (up to 400 km/day for some larger categories), with pricing adjusted accordingly. Kilometres beyond the limit are charged at +50 HUF/km. For long-term or high-mileage rentals, ask our colleagues for an individual, unlimited-mileage offer.

Deposit

A refundable deposit is required for the rental, which we return in full when the vehicle is handed back undamaged. The amount depends on the vehicle category:

• Passenger car: HUF 150,000 (HUF 200,000 for larger-category cars).
• Trailer: HUF 10,000.

Payment and booking

The rental fee is settled when the contract is signed. To book a vehicle, get in touch with us by phone or e-mail and we will arrange a pick-up time at our Dunakeszi site. We can confirm a booking once the pick-up details have been agreed in advance.

Long-term rental and fleet management

Long-term rental and corporate fleet management are also available. If you need a vehicle for a longer period, or several vehicles, ask for a tailored offer – for long-term arrangements we can provide more favourable rates and flexible terms.
